WannaRub Eclipses 25,000 Bottles Sold, Launches Bold Beef Blend

PHILADELPHIA, PA – WannaRub™, a veteran-owned spice rub and seasoning company, today announced the launch of a new beef blend after selling 25,000 bottles of WannaRub – The Original Blend.

“The last two years has been a wild ride. We had lofty goals and set out to bring a great product into an extremely crowded and saturated market. While there have been challenges along the way, we hit a major milestone earlier this year by selling over 25,000 bottles of our Original Blend, mostly thru online sales”, said Eric Strohl, RubMaster and Founder of WannaRub.

“In this market finding a niche is extremely important, which is why we originally focused on having just one blend that was great on beef, chicken, pork, fish, veggies, and side dishes. As we looked at the market, we identified a need for a targeted beef-only product. After months of blending, testing, and customer feedback, we found something incredibly unique but lacked a good name. As comments poured in from our focus groups, two words stood out. This product has a bold flavor and amazing taste. Our translation in keeping with the fun nature of the WannaRub brand was to name it Bold Beef Blend. The name was instantly a hit with our customers and a new product was born into the WannaRub family.”

WannaRub’s Bold Beef Blend is formulated specifically for beef and adds a savory bold twist of spices to the traditional salt, pepper, and garlic found in most high-quality beef rubs. This new blend is perfect for those backyard grillers or seasoned pitmasters looking to add an amazing bold flavor to briskets, beef ribs, steaks, burgers, and roasts. Pre-orders will be accepted on the company’s website at wannarub.com starting March 15th with fulfillment beginning on April 1st.

“We still have a long way to go but are humbled by our success so far. In addition to meeting so many great people in the BBQ community, we continue to give back and support those in need around the country and in our local community.”

Along with the release of the new Bold Beef Blend, the company will be updating the color scheme, logo, and tagline for the existing Original Blend.

Barbecue seasoning online sales jump as stay at home orders continue

PHILADELPHIA, PA – As millions of Americans are forced to stay home, online sales are starting to indicate that many may have turned to barbecue as one of their choices for food preparation.

Starting in March, online sales for the popular barbecue spice rub and seasoning called WannaRub saw a major increase. WannaRub, which officially launched just under a year ago has already sold more than 12,000 bottles of their signature spice blend. As those stay-at-home orders started to be put in place, their website saw a major uptick.

“I don’t think it’s a coincidence,” said Eric Strohl, RubMaster and Founder of WannaRub. “With all of our upcoming events being canceled, and our partner retail locations being harder to get to, people have turned to ordering their favorite blend online.”

In the last 30 days, online orders have increased by 32 percent along with a 50% bump in average order size. As a result, the company has decided to run a special promotion for all of those who are currently on what seems like house arrest.

“To help people get through these difficult times, we’re offering a discount on our Two and Five-Pack Combo’s in addition to offering free priority two-day shipping on orders over $28” said Strohl. “And, they can be rest assured that our product is made entirely here in the USA.”

According to the company’s website, WannaRub, The Perfect Condiment For All Your Food, can be used as a dry rub for beef, chicken, pork and fish, or also as a seasoning on pasta, potatoes, veggies, or any side dish. WannaRub contains no additives, preservatives, MSG, GMO’s and is gluten-free. The proprietary blend features cane sugar, smoked Spanish paprika, pink Himalayan salt, fresh ground pepper, granulated garlic, granulated onion, dried chiles, and other herbs and spices.

Philly-based spice company accelerates growth plan

PHILADELPHIA – WannaRub™, a veteran-owned spice rub and seasoning company, is accelerating its growth plan seeking nationwide distributors and passionate people looking to represent our brand in their local communities.

“After our official launch in May 2019, we honestly didn’t know what to expect”, said Eric Strohl, Rub Master and Founder of WannaRub. “We knew we had a great product based on reviews from family, friends, BBQ connoisseurs, and early adopters. However, getting more people to try WannaRub without being able to taste it was challenging.” We started out selling online using Facebook and Instagram ads, attending local festivals, and building relationships with local store owners.

What started as a passionate hobby has turned into a full-fledged operation with the company selling over 5,000 bottles of WannaRub, adding customers across the continental US. “Our fans love WannaRub along with the tasty recipes created by Anne Strohl, Wannarub’s Co-Founder. It has a unique flavor that combines sweetness and smokiness, with a little heat. Families love it because it’s not too spicy and have used it on everything from beef, chicken, pork, and fish to side dishes like Mac-N-Cheese, potatoes, and vegetables.”

To help accelerate growth, the company has also partnered with the Home Shopping Marketplace and will be airing a nationwide commercial from November 30th thru December 18th.

As part of the launch campaign, the company is looking to hire one person in the U.S. to have Thompson follow them around and narrate their life for one day while he impersonates Morgan Freeman. Thompson, who gained notoriety and fame for his performance as Geoff Peterson the robot for eight years on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, is currently doing voiceover-work on FOX’s hit cartoon TV Show, Family Guy, for his eighth season on the show.

It’s all about the customer experience and everyday people showing off the food they have made using WannaRub – not perfect pictures of photoshopped food. We are excited to finally showcase WannaRub with our national launch.”
