WannaRub Smoked Salmon

Ingredients


  • 1 Salmon filet, skin on, about 2 lbs
  • 3 oz Wanna Rub Original Blend
  • 1 oz Kosher Salt
  • 1 oz Cracked Black Pepper
  • ½ cup Honey
  • ½ cup maple syrup

Preparation


Using Hickory chunks, build your fire in the smoke box and bring the smoker up to a steady 200 degrees F. Season the Salmon with the salt pepper and WannaRub. Oil the grates generously to prevent sticking and lay the filet skin side down in the smoker. In the meantime create a 50/ 50 glaze mixture with the honey and maple syrup. After about an hour of low smoke brush the mixture onto the filet every 15 minutes until a total smoke time of 2 hours is reached. Carefully remove the fish from the smoker and let cool. Serve as an appetizer with Crackers. Enjoy!

WannaRub Crocked Mac & Cheese

Ingredients


  • 16 oz. natural white mild cheddar, shredded (substitute cheese to taste)
  • 16 oz Elbow Macaroni
  • 4 Tbsps of WannaRub
  • 3 Cups of Milk
  • 4 Tbsps of All Purpose Flour
  • 1 ½ Sticks of Butter
  • 1 Sleeve of Saltine Crackers or as an alternative use (1 cup of Panko bread crumbs and one 6 oz container of French's crispy fried onions)

Preparation


In a large pot bring 8 cups of salt water to a rapid boil. Add the macaroni stirring occasionally. In a medium saucepan over medium heat melt a stick of butter. Once hot, whisk in the flour, one Tbsps at a time and continue to whisk until mixture is smooth and there are no lumps. Slowly add the milk stirring constantly until combined. Be careful not to boil. Slowly add about 3/4 of the cheese while constantly stirring until combined. You will reserve the remaining ¼ for the topping. Stir 2 Tbsps of WannaRub into the mixture. Once the macaroni is al dente, strain the pasta and return it to the pot. Add the cheese mixture to the macaroni and combine.

Dump the sleeve of crackers into a gallon ziplock bag and you a rolling pin to pulverise into cracker crumbs. Add the remaining cheese to the bag and shake the bag until the cracker crumbs and cheese are combined. Pour the mac and cheese into a 10 x 12 casserole dish and cover with the crumb mixture.

Sprinkle remaining 2 Tbsp of WannaRub over the top of the mac and cheese. Lay a few pads of butter (half stick) on top and place in a 400 degree oven for about 20 mins. Enjoy!!

WannaRub Chicken ‘N Bacon Drummies

Ingredients


  • 6 medium size chicken drumsticks
  • 6 thin sliced bacon strips
  • 1/2 cup WannaRub
  • 2 T. brown sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • BBQ Sauce - your favorite

Preparation


Mix WannaRub and sugar together. Sprinkle a small amount of salt over chicken legs, then roll each leg in the rub-sugar mixture. Wrap bacon around legs at least 1 inch below knuckle and tuck under end piece of bacon. Place a strip of foil above the bacon wrap to cover knuckle (prevents knuckle from turning dark).

Place bacon wrapped legs on a foil-lined baking sheet with sides. Bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Baking time will depend on the size of the drumstick.

Remove tray from oven and lightly brush on BBQ sauce; return to oven for 5 minutes. Remove from oven, let cool and enjoy!

WannaRub Slow Cooked Shredded Chicken BBQ

Ingredients


  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
  • 1 T. WannaRub
  • 1 cup WannaRub Sweet 'N Tangy BBQ sauce
  • 2 T. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 T. brown sugar
  • 1 T. Worcestershire

Preparation


Place chicken in crock-pot, add WannaRub. Mix together remaining 4 ingredients and pour over chicken. Cook 3 hours on high. Remove chicken and shred with 2 forks. Return chicken to cooker to absorb juices, adding more BBQ if needed.

Serving Suggestions


Serve chicken on your favorite roll, topped with cheese or coleslaw. Or serve in a taco shell or wrap and top with lettuce, red onion, avocado, tomatoes, shredded Mexican cheese and WannaRub Garlic Aioli.

WannaRub Comeback Crackers

  • 1 C lite olive oil
  • 2 T. dry Ranch dressing mix
  • 2 T. WannaRub
  • 2 sleeves salted saltine crackers
  • One gallon plastic ziplock bag

Preparation


Mix together oil, ranch mix, and wannarub until well combined. Gently place crackers in bag and pour the mixture over top of the crackers. Seal bag and flip bag up and down, turning over several times until all the crackers have been coated. Repeat flipping bag over several times every 30 minutes for 2 hours. Place crackers on foiled lined baking sheets and bake in 250 deg. preheated oven for 15 minutes. Once you try one your gonna wanna keep coming back for more.
